Downloads
The free downloads are free to everyone. Nothing to join. No
annual fees required. Please help yourself to whatever you want, and
don't forget to let others know about it! If you think anything can be improved,
or you find any errors, then we would appreciate it if you would let us know via the
e-mail link. Thank you.
The free downloads available below are designed to help, not only
the established ADIs, but also the ADIs who have recently qualified and are setting
out on their own.
The recently qualified ADI, or ADI setting up their
own business for the first time, may often spend many weeks, and even
months, trying to establish a system of recording client information / progress / payments, and other details, in an easy
to use format. Eventually, after many frustrating and time consuming false
starts, they may get a system that works, and one that is reasonably easy to
maintain.
To help you avoid this problem, Driving School Pro offer
you a free off-the-shelf Pupil
Record System. This system has been used successfully over the years so please
feel free to download the files and, if necessary, modify them to suit your own
personal requirements. The DSPro Records System allows you to simply and
easily keep track of your client's progress, fees paid, books etc. hired out,
countdown to practical test, tests passed and generally keep control
over that which otherwise can become a bit of a nightmare! The
DSPro Logbook ties in with this Record
System. The L-Driving Instructor
Business Guide is also essential reading.
To keep the records together you should consider investing in
a 4-ring
conference folder, lettered index cards to sort client's by name, and a 4-hole punch. These
items can be purchased quite easily. We at DSPro
use Viking Direct www.viking-direct.co.uk
.(No, we don't have any connection with them, just
pleased to recommend an efficient company.) Whilst we are talking about
investing in office hardware, a laminator is a good idea, and these days they are relatively
inexpensive.

Downloads for the Driving School Pro Record System:
These files,
that make up the DSPro Records System. Please download and adapt them to
your own requirements
To download the following files you will need to have Adobe Acrobat
Reader installed. Most computers will have this on board but if not, just log onto
the Adobe site
and get a free download.
Unless otherwise stated the following files should
be printed using A4 paper.
Some files may take a while to download and the computer may appear to freeze, please be patient. Zip files are available on the larger files, for quicker downloads.
-
Front Cover Outer -
This pdf file is for the front cover of your records.
-
Front Cover Outer (Zip file)
-
Front Cover Inner (Year 2008)- This file is a calendar to be printed on the reverse side of the front
cover. Ideally this front cover should be laminated for durability.

Client's
Details Side 1
- This is the page that you will use to gather, and collate all your new
client's details when you first meet them. (It is a good idea to use a pastel
shaded paper for this. It will separate the client's records and, if for some reason
you change prices or conditions, you can change the colour to enable you to keep
track of who the new conditions/prices apply to.)
-
Client's Details Side 2
- This page gives you an immediate insight into pupils payments and
hours. You can also enter lesson cancellation dates etc. This page is printed on
the reverse of 'Pupil's Details Side 1'.
-
Client's Comments -
These pages are used for filling in comments about the lesson, and the
lesson subject for next time. Included is a numbered chart to show, at a glance,
which subjects the client has experienced. The numbers on the chart will tie in with
the Logbooks.
-
Test
Countdown Slip - This page should be cut into
three individual slips, each slip punched with two holes. (It pays to
use ring reinforcements on the holes.) When the client books the driving test a
slip should be placed in their file. The weeks are crossed off as the test
approaches. As the test time draws nearer the slip will remind you about when to
carry out the various checks
-
Telephone Response - Print them off on A5
(the quality is much better when printed than shown on the screen) and put them
in ring binder next to the phone. When answering the phone just work your way
down the list. Transfer the relevant details (name, time, date, tel. number) to
your diary and then keep the A5 file at home. Once you have first met your new
client cut the top corner off the A5 page, you will then be able to see at a
glance how many clients are waiting for their first appointment. If for any
reason you loose your conference folder you will still have your client's
details, including the phone number.
-
Clients Spreadsheet for 2008 If you enter into the spreadsheet when clients are joining,
client's test dates, when clients are leaving for holidays, etc. you will
easily see how your hours are working out in the weeks to come. There are
examples entered to show how it works. The hours are automatically totalled at
the foot of the page. Use colours to help you highlight the forthcoming events.
(You
will need Microsoft Excel for this. If you don't have it on your PC you can
buy Microsoft Office software at amazingly low prices from eBay. If you are
unfamiliar with spreadsheets don't be scared to experiment. You can also buy
cheap, Microsoft Office software manuals from eBay.) To get your copy of this
very useful aid please request by email to:

That concludes the Records System. The following downloads are
to do with the DSPro Training System
Free Downloads for the Driving
School Pro Training System
These files,
that make up part of the DSPro Training System, can be used independently
of the Logbook and L-Driver Briefings, but using the total package will
not only release it's full potential, but will also help you reinforce that all
important professional image.
-
Post-Lesson Test Papers -
These Test Papers are given to the client at the end of the lesson. They allow
the client to reflect on what they have been taught, after the lesson has
finished. (Highway Code questions have been included the ensure that the client
has access to this book!) The client should hand the test papers back at the start of the next lesson. These
test papers will tie in with the Driver Briefings manual and the Logbook
available later this year. Click
on the subject below to download each file.
-
Pre-Test Test-Paper - The
idea behind this paper is three-fold. 1. It will remind the client about
all the aspects of driving that they will need on the test. 2. If they
are hazy or just plain wrong about anything, the paper will pick it up, and you
will be able to correct it. 3. If in the event the client fails the test
and subsequently tell you, or their parents, that they were never taught 'that'
- the evidence will be in the Test Paper. After marking, discuss the Test Paper
with client, but keep it with your records for future reference.
