Overview

Driving School Pro offers instruction to those who wish to train to become an Approved Driving Instructor (ADI)

The senior driving instructor trainer is Colin Crane who is an experienced ADI trainer with a proven track record in developing his own driving school business, and driving instructor training centre, over the last 10+ years. His pass rate for driving instructor training is exceptionally high – over 90% against the national pass rate of around 25%.

Colin Crane took early retirement as a Head Teacher to become an ADI and a driving instructor trainer. He is also a RoSPA Advanced Driver (Gold) and tutor.

He also brings with him his 29 years teaching experience in schools within London, the South West and the South of England that easily transfer into driving instructor training. During the ADI training, he and his colleagues will use instructional techniques which many other training establishments do not use.

Colin offers unparalleled quality ADI training, which is coupled with Driving School Pro's other prime objective of excellent value for money.

We train our own instructors to a very high standard, and you will also have the advantage of using Graphic Briefings to help you through the course, and pass your Part 3 Test

Unlike many national training establishments, we usually get trainees through the 3 parts of the course with, on average, just 8-10 days of training.

Compare our prices, "no - conditions" policy and pass rates with other training establishments!

The Driving School Pro - Driving Instructor Training School is located on the south (Jurassic) coast, near the holiday resort of Weymouth, in the delightful county of Dorset.

Attend one of our 'Taster Days'

We invite you to visit us (from 10.00 a.m. - 4.00 p.m.) to find out whether you are suited to this profession. We usually have a Taster Day during the first week of each month but will aim to arrange one to suit your availability.

During the day you will:

  • accompany an instructor giving a lesson to a learner driver

  • have an opportunity to understand the type of questions that are asked on the Part 1 mock test theory questions

  • be asked to give a short commentary whilst driving

  • undertake one or two, short and simple instructional tasks to establish your ability to give logical and sequential instructions to another person

  • have an informal interview with an ADI trainer

The day is designed to provide a 2-way assessment to help establish whether you could make a good driving instructor - before you part with your course fee. Trainers will provide you with honest answers to any questions asked and you will find them most helpful.
